We then end up sifting through many results to try and find what we are after.<\/h3>\n<p>This process can take several attempts with slight (or major, depending on the results you achieve) changes to the selection of keywords that you use to allow you to obtain the precise result you were after.<\/p>\n<p>There is however a selection of \u2018search operators\u2019 or \u2018syntax\u2019 that will allow you to streamline your results without having to delve into the advanced search to produce relevant results and here is a list of some of the most useful.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 611.203125px; border-color: #000000;\" border=\"2\">\n<tbody>\n<tr style=\"height: 66.40625px;\">\n<td style=\"width: 144px; height: 66.40625px;\">\n<h4>Syntax \/ Symbol<\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 457.203125px; height: 66.40625px;\">\n<h4>Purpose \/ Result<\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 144px;\">\n<td style=\"width: 144px; height: 144px;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">+<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 457.203125px; height: 144px;\">Adding a plus (+) symbol in front of your search keywords will ensure that that particular keyword will definitely be included in the search results. For example the search term \u2018car\u2019 would be a very broad search however if you added \u2018car +classic\u2019 Google would display all websites with the words \u2018car\u2019 and \u2018classic\u2019 in the content<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 216px;\">\n<td style=\"width: 144px; height: 216px;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 457.203125px; height: 216px;\">By placing a minus (-) symbol in front of your keywords will ensure that websites or pages without those particular words are eliminated from the search results. For example if you searched for the term \u2018trainers -nike\u2019 Google will return results that have the word \u2018trainers\u2019 in but not the word \u2018nike\u2019.
